Your pet is SO important to us!
Because we care about your dog’s safety and wellbeing, Yolanda’s Mobile Pet Grooming wants to assure you that every effort will be made to make your pet’s visit is as pleasant and safe as possible. Occasionally, grooming can expose a hidden medical problem or aggravate a current one. This can occur during or after grooming.
In the best interest of your pet, we request your permission to obtain immediate veterinary treatment should it become necessary. Please read through our service contract…
Cancellation Policy
A 24 hour notice for cancellation is required in order to avoid a 50% cancellation fee. Please keep tabs on your schedule as we hate charging this fee this as much as our clients hate having to pay it. We usually send a 24-48 hr grooming reminder, but are not held liable for missed reminders. We understand emergencies arise and accidents happen, it happens to all of us. The 50% cancellation fee covers the time that we have set aside for the groomer to groom your pet. Spontaneous cancellations cause an inability to fill that appointment spot, and the groomer is left waiting sometimes hours for their next appointment. The 50% fee covers the time lost and or the gas/milage that your spontaneous cancellation resulted in. A 24+ hr heads up gives us the opportunity to move their clients up or possibly fill that spot so our groomers don't waste their valuable time. I hope you understand why this is necessary.
Payments
We take Cash, Check, Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay, and Credit Card (c.c. over the phone), Lets us know your preferred method of payment and we can assist you with the details you need to complete it. Payment at the end of grooming (same day) is ideal, if this is not possible due to your work schedule, and not being available at the time of grooming, we will happily take payment within the week of the grooming, just give us a call! Due to convenience, we will happily set up a payment plan/ credit card on file, if your pet is on a schedule with us, please give us a call to inquire about a payment plan that works for you! Any payments past due, 7 days from date of grooming, or 7 days past scheduled payment date, will incur a $5 late fee for each day past due.
Matted Coats
Because we care about your pet well-being, we want to assure you that every effort will be made to make your pets visit as pleasant as possible.
Pets with severely matted coats require extra attention. Mats in a pet’s coat grow tight, and can ultimately damage the pet’s skin. Yolanda’s Mobile Pet Grooming will not cause serious or undue stress to your pet by de-matting severe matts. Mats can be very difficult to remove, and may require the pet to be shaved. Removing a heavily matted coat can cause nicks, cuts or abrasions due to hidden skin growths trapped in the mats. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pet’s skin allowing mold, fungus or bacteria to grow, producing skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process. After- effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions and failure of the hair to regrow. In some cases, pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes. Prevention is the best defense by scheduling regular grooming appointments, at least every 4-6 weeks depending on the breed/ coat of your pet. If your pet needs to be shaved to remove matting, by signing below, you acknowledge that you agree to this procedure, and any risk. There will be an additional charge for this process: it is time consuming, and causes extra wear and tear on grooming equipment. The additional charge can be estimated by groomer prior to appointment.
Accidents
Grooming equipment is sharp, and although we use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible problems could occur including cuts, nicks, scratches, quicking of nails, etc.. Your pet’s safety and comfort is our number one priority. In the event an accident does occur, you will be notified of the accident. If Yolanda’s Mobile Pet Grooming feels it is serious, and the owner is not on-site, Yolanda’s Mobile Pet Grooming will seek immediate veterinary care for your pet.
Health or Medical Problems
Occasionally, grooming can expose a hidden medical problem or aggravate a current one. This can occur during or after grooming. All medical expenses for veterinary care will be covered by the animal’s owner upon signing this agreement. Please advise us of any medical conditions you know of, so the groomer is aware of them before grooming.
Senior Pets
Due to the fragile and unpredictable nature of senior pets, and because grooming can occasionally expose a hidden medical condition, or aggravate a current one, in the best interest of your pet, we request your permission to obtain immediate emergency life saving techniques and or veterinary treatment should become necessary.
Veterinarian Authorization-Medical Emergencies
This release gives Yolanda’s Mobile Pet Grooming full authorization to seek medical treatment from nearest veterinarian in the case of any medical emergencies while in the care of Yolanda’s Mobile Pet Grooming. All veterinarian costs and expenses will be the responsibility of the animal’s owner.
Dangerous or Aggressive Animals-Refusal of Service
Yolanda’s Mobile Pet Grooming has the right to refuse any services at any time. In the event that your animal is too stressed or becomes dangerous to groom, Yolanda’s Mobile Pet Grooming has the right to refuse grooming services, stop grooming services, or cancel grooming services at any time before, during, or after grooming and client will be charged a grooming fee (for what was done up until that point).
Use of Muzzles
Our gentle muzzles do not harm your animal and protects both the animal and the groomer. In some cases, muzzling may even calm a stressed animal, allowing the grooming process to continue. If an animal still acts in a way that is dangerous, Yolanda’s Mobile Pet Grooming has the right to stop grooming services at any time and a service fee will be collected. We do not muzzle unless necessary, muzzling is a last resort.
Cats
We care about your kitty as much as you do, we want to assure you that every effort will be made to make sure your cats visit is as pleasant as possible. Cats are creatures of habit and when exposed to a new environment they can experience elevated stress levels. In the event that your cat is too stressed to safely continue to groom, all procedures will be stopped and you'll be notified immediately. Occasionally, grooming can expose a hidden medical problem or aggravate a current one. This can occur during or after grooming. In the best interest of your Pat we request your permission to obtain immediate veterinary treatment shouldn't be necessary.
